A trip to the Pediatrician
I took the boys to see their doctor today. He was in unusual spirits. The boys are okay just both had rashes on their faces that were beginning to concern me. Jonathan's entire mouth and chin area were chapped and Tayler has had this ongoing rash around his nose. The doc was awesome and prescribed some steroid cream for both of them and told them to keep their paws off their faces. He then gave me a ton of advice regarding where I should start off in Nursing. His wife has been a nurse for over 20 years and he knew a thing or two about what I should do to make myself desirable to employers. Much food for thought. Then at the pharmacy I ran into a CNA that I worked with in my first rotation at a hospital here in town. She recommends the same as him. "Start off in Med-Surg then specialize after about a year of that." Sounds like good solid advice but where? I would still really like to go to OB with my friend Chrysie but we shall see. On a cool note...Patrick and I are meeting with a mortgage broker to get ourselves and our finances ready to save a down payment and look for a home. After I get a job of course :) Okay back to my house...It needs a good cleaning today. This is what a weekend full of kids and their friends does to a house.

I understand rashes. I dunno if you've seen Kaylee's. She has it on her face, her arms, & her legs. But its not really a rash. It looks like excema (however you spell it), but we used hydrocortizone 2.5% forever and it didn't make a difference. That was prescribed by a different pediatrician in the drs office than Kaylees. So I took her back to see HER pediatrician and she said its more like dry skin. Well I have the same thing on my arms. The dr said that if we lived in like washington or oregon or florida, states that have a lot of rain and humidity, that she probably wouldn't have it. So she told me as long as its not bothering Kaylee just use lotion with lots of moisture. So I got this aveeno baby lotion for excema and very dry skin, but it doesn't seem to be working and I'm afraid I might have to take her back to the doctor because the stuff on her legs is spreading up onto her rearend and starting to hit her back. I think it might get better with winter. We'll see. So the boys might kinda have the same thing, its probably from the heat.
As for nursing I dunno what med-surg is but I know my mom (a USCNA) works on the surgical floor at Roseville Hospital. She used to work on the Medical floor several years ago, and made her way over to Surgical. Now shes talking about going back to school and finishing to become an RN. Anywho Miss Kaylee is whiney so I need to go tend to her. Good luck with staying cool, the heat wave should be over soon.
I just took Kaylee yesterday to the dr for her rash cuz its spreading and he said she has folliculitis.
